Rene Cardona attended Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, GA, where he majored in industrial management. While attending Georgia Tech in 1980, Rene Cardona joined International Jet Markets, a small independent aircraft brokerage company as a market researcher where he cut his teeth, and learned the ropes of aircraft putting aircraft deals together within the new emerging business jet industry. The firm, established in the mid 1970s, specialized in the sale and marketing of executive jets, turboprops and engines. Rene Cardona serviced his clients as an agent, broker and consultant.
In 1988 Rene Cardona relocated to Lincoln, Nebraska where he joined Duncan Aviation. Joining the aircraft sales department, Rene Cardona was able to bring the brokerage knowledge gained while in Atlanta, as well as a national base of relationships developed over his years at International Jet Markets. Duncan Aviation’s well-known full services fixed base operation, with an excellent U.S. and international reputation for providing quality services based in Lincoln, Nebraska, was a logical choice and allowed him to settle down and raise a family. Rene Cardona is currently in his twenty-first year with Duncan Aviation.
